Praying for Breakthrough
South Asia: Pray for a missionary who is visiting a remote mountainous region in a country experiencing ongoing civil unrest. Ask the Lord to protect and bless the time he spends in visiting disciples whom he invested in previously.
Malawi: Thanks for your prayers regarding the Malawi Mission Lab experience. It concludes this week and in a survey all participants are giving it high marks and contributing to the development of this new kind of mission trip.
Cameroon: Pray for disciple-makers who are experiencing violent insecurity in their context. Ask the Lord for endurance, boldness, and wisdom..
Europe: Pray for missionaries sowing good seed in the hard ground of post-Christian Europe. Pray for them as they discern individuals around them who are open to relationship and to Jesus.

Good News
Julie, World Partners staff in Southeast Asia, is thanking the Lord for His faithfulness in the provision of a visa to return to her field of service. After several months of waiting for her visa to be approved, she is grateful to be ministering in Thailand once again.
HOPE ENDEAVORS:
A Beacon of Love in the Face of Despair
Dr. Rod and Darcy McLane have connections to the Michigan Region of the Missionary Church and their group, Hope Endeavors, has recently become affiliated with World Partners. Read on to learn how the Lord is using this Missionary Church–related couple to make a difference in Malawi.
In the warm, dusty villages of Malawi, where shadows of HIV/AIDS once stole childhoods and futures, a quiet revolution of hope was born. Hope Endeavors began in 2004 with nothing more than two fragile HIV-positive orphans and the unwavering hearts of Dr. Rod and Darcy McLane. What started as a desperate embrace of two small children has blossomed into a ministry that now shares the Gospel with thousands of children each week—a testament to what God can do through surrendered lives.
The journey has been marked by tears, sacrifice, and breathtaking redemption. Dr. Rod and Darcy felt a distinct call that pulled them from comfort into the unknown in Malawi. They could not turn away from the plight of children left orphaned and infected. Those first two little ones became the seeds of something miraculous. Today, Hope Endeavors cares for dozens of HIV-positive orphans across seven loving family homes. Here, children who once faced certain death now experience the warmth of family meals, bedtime prayers, and the security of being truly seen and cherished.
The impact ripples far beyond the homes. A vibrant preschool nurtures more than 170 three- and four-year-olds, filling their days with songs, learning, and laughter that drowns out the echoes of loss. Medical compassion flows through the ART/AIDS clinic, mother/baby clinic, under-five clinic, and monthly men’s health clinic—offering healing hands and medicines that restore strength and dignity. Moreover, Hope Endeavors operates 83 weekly kids’ Bible clubs, reaching over 9,000 children every week with stories of a Savior who loves them.
Local sustainability flows from faith and hard work. Two maize mills, along with a chicken and goat farm, generate local income that helps the ministry and the 29 dedicated Malawian employees and hundreds of faithful volunteers—local heroes whose hearts beat in rhythm with the mission.
Hope Endeavors is more than an organization—it is living proof that light pierces darkness, that love outlasts suffering, and that one surrendered “yes” can echo through eternity. In a world hungry for good news, Hope Endeavors declares that hope is not wishful thinking. Rather, it has a name, a face, and a family in Malawi where every child is treasured and invited to new life.

Equipping Schools, Empowering Children:

The Elliots: Daniel, Naomi, Samuel, Maerah, Joshua, Isaac, and Nathanael
In 2014, Daniel and Naomi began their missionary journey. After a short period in Bolivia, they were reassigned to Liberia in 2018, where they supported local churches within the Liberia Evangelical Mission (LEM) as they sought to reach children in their communities through education. Daniel and Naomi strengthened the LEM schools through teacher training, model teaching, curriculum development, and through Naomi’s Bible studies for young women.
In 2023, Daniel and Naomi relocated to the United States, where they continue to support the LEM schools through regular training trips to Liberia, assisting schools in their efforts toward sustainability, and equipping teachers to disciple their students in Christ. They remain deeply connected to their relationships in Liberia—engaging in ongoing Bible studies, coaching, and encouragement.
The Children’s Education and Feeding Fund supplies resources that improve educational outcomes and provide school lunches for children attending Liberia Evangelical Mission schools.
