Guatemala: Alex Clem. I made it to Guatemala and have begun my ministry! I arrived last week without any issues, praise the Lord. Pray for Pastor Pablo and myself as we work to serve the community together. Thank you for all of your prayers! There is power in prayer!
USA: Praise God the language and learning camps at church went so well that they've asked me to make it an ongoing ministry at the church. This brings non-believers from the community into the church where volunteers share the gospel with their parents while I'm teaching their kids. Please pray for the parents and students. Just last week one of the parents from my SAT class made a profession of faith in Christ!
Latvia: Rick & Madara Dugan. Madara and I are so grateful for the team of prayer and financial partners who make the ministry possible. It was such a joy to see many of you - covering 11 states (I think). I was especially encouraged to hear so many of your stories of making disciples in your workplaces and neighborhoods. It is happening in America!
USA: John & Julie Gerig. Pray for our future plans as we seek what God will have us do after 2024. And pray for the training videos on our Russian youth ministry website to continue to be used by the Holy Spirit.
Middle East: Spiritually, we are having extra zoom prayer times with our congregation. People need hope, encouragement, strength etc. We are learning how to live in reliance on God, as we are waiting for more difficult times. The waiting is hard, as the bigger war has been expected for such a long time. Continue to pray for us as the new front raises the stakes and makes the situation more "imminent."
France: Keep praying for me as I am being treated for cancer. Praise God I was released from the hospital yesterday and will now be doing outpatient dialysis, and then maybe chemo beginning in mid-September. I am thankful that the cancer is limited to the bone marrow and all other organs are healthy and functioning well. Pray for wisdom for the doctors, healing for me, and that the Lord continues to give the energy needed on a daily basis.
USA: Please continue praying for the 12 remaining of the 15 new missionaries we sense the Lord wanting to add to World Partners. We have several quality candidates considering this calling. Ask the Lord to send more people from our MCUSA churches.
Proverbs 16:9 "A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps."
Pray for the World Partners staff and their families as many travel for ministry. Pray for wisdom, health, and protection as they continue to share the gospel. Pray for encouragement and strength against the forces of this world. And also, for safety and peace for the World Partners staff who are in countries with volatile situations.
