Do not fret because of evildoers; be not envious toward wrongdoers, for they will wither quickly like the grass and fade like the green herb. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in Him, and He will do it. And He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday. -Psalm 37:1-6
Larry served in Thailand with the Peace Corps shortly after he graduated from college. Although not yet serving in a missionary capacity, he met and served with many people who were. This gave him a "taste" of what missionary life would be like. He was hooked! Larry enjoys working in different cultures with different peoples.
Larry works as an agricultural missionary. With more countries restricting the more traditional ways of sharing the Gospel, agriculture is becoming a lifesaver in the world community—spiritually as well as physically. Larry develops agricultural programs in conjunction with spiritual outreach.
Larry grew up in Kalamazoo, MI and attended Trinity Lutheran Church. He has known and loved Jesus for as long as he can remember. While attending college, he prayed along with a Billy Graham television broadcast, “officially” accepting Christ as his Savior. Larry received a Master of Science in Horticulture and Plant Breeding at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. After graduation, he served two years with the Peace Corps in Thailand as an Agricultural Extensionist in Crop and Soil Improvement. Larry has served long-term in seven nations on three continents.
Larry began serving with World Partners in the spring of 1994.
